Mithrandir Farm is nestled on 75 acres of woods in historic Saratoga Springs, New York. It is maintained by Eileen and Patrick Gerdes, along with their children - Sydney, Kyra and Nicole.
Mithrandir Farm was born when we finally realized our dream of owning and operating a small farm. We began raising sheep, turkeys, chickens, goats and cattle for meat, milk, wool and eggs in an effort to become more self-sufficient.
As we have become more knowledgeable, we now produce enough to sell livestock to others as our main business.
We are also exploring our options with our new team of driving Haflingers - Nathan and Nelson, discovered by Herb Trombley. Thanks to Butch and FritzAnn for training such a fantastic team. A hardy thanks to Ernie Bisette, our mentor and teacher, for his time and steady support.
Sydney is now at University of Maryland studying engineering! She is in our thoughts and prayers.

Our foundation herd has been built with quality show goats from Dragonfly Farm, Dawnland Farm and Doubletree Farm. We test our whole herd annually for CAE and every other year for Johnnes. We routinely inspect for CL. We also participate in ADGA's linear appraisal program annually.
Our goats are dual-registered with ADGA and AGS.
